Email: handle spam somehow
R
Roland Boquiren
Handle spam emails in some way (e.g. by adding support for labels)
Note from Sam: We can start with the very basics
Future spam handling features in followup tickets would be:
- mark as spam (like superhuman)
- advanced spam/fraud detection (like superhuman doesn’t, but gmail does)

Email: channel integration

Ideally, emails should integrate with “channels” somehow. I.e. it should be possible to see relevant emails when viewing a channel.

Email: send later
R
Roland Boquiren
The ability to schedule an email to be sent at a future point in time
Note from Sam: We should probably do the “send later” for a comms message while we’re at it!
- Send later for posts is being tracked here: Ability to send posts "later"

Sam @May 6, 2023 1:08 PM (EDT) - keeping this in backlog and low priority only because the major paradigm will be “mark as done” rather than delete

Feedback from Sunny:
if we were to integrate email, I’d need the ability to separate my message stream from comms entirely. I’d want email to be a folder I can close out and hide from view while working in comms, and vice versa

RN Guerrero I was thinking the same thing as Sunny - I would love to drop Superhuman but I would want the ability to switch to "external world mode" (email) completely separate from "internal mode" (comms). I would actually start from complete separation and allow "crossing the streams" only if we really see that it would bring significant value.

Maybe this is worth splitting into two:
- Being able to do emails from comms (what Sam wants)
- Being able to interact with comms from email (what I want)
My motivation is mostly "I get mentioned in comms occasionally and then I should pop in & respond, but I don't live in Comms like a FTE and so often I miss stuff" Honestly, I'd settle for notifications to email only.
