This request was for messages that have a reminder set, but are returned
before
the reminder because of a mention. In these cases, it’s not clear to me without opening the message whether it was returned from a reminder or from a mention.I would prefer it to not have the purple text color if it has a reminder, but returned before the reminder because of a mention.
Might be missing a good reason, but I can’t think of a case where I would want to know from the inbox that I have a reminder set when someone mentions me before the reminder.

For messages where you set a reminder, it's not clear in the inbox if the message is showing up because you were mentioned again or if it's the reminder resurfacing.

Messages that are returned to the inbox from a reminder have a purple highlight on the right side letting you know when it was returned. Example below.
